What to expect

Experience the Korean Kimchi making day's atmosphere while learning all about Kimchi! You will learn how to make 4 types of authentic Kimchi using Korean cabbage (Baechu Kimchi), radish (Kkakdugi) and cucumber (Oi Sobagi). Especially for the cabbage Kimchi, you will learn how to make pickled (Gimjang Kimchi) and fresh Kimchi (Geotjeori).

Before class, you will enjoy a local market tour and after class, sit down to a well-earned meal of Kimchi with boiled pork (fried tofu for vegetarians) just as a Korean family would do on a 'Kimchi making day'. The class is led by Jomin, a certified Korean cook and conducted in English. Lessons take place in her cooking studio close to the Mangwon market, near the Hongdae area. This is not a demo class, but a hands-on class you prepare ingredients from scratch.
