What to Expect

Jeongbang Waterfall
This is the only waterfall in Asia that falls from land to the sea. “Seobulgwacha" was written in Chinese characters on the rock wall of Jeongjang Falls. There was a legend that Jin Si-hwang's envoy came to Yeongju Mountain (now Hallasan Mountain) in Jeju Island to find "Bulocho" and took turns engraving words on the rock wall, but the rock collapsed because of a typhoon. Jeongbang Falls has many rocky areas, so you have to walk carefully. Also, it’s much easier to go down the stairs, than up! 1 hour 30 minutes • Admission Ticket Not Included

Oedolgae Rock(Lonely rock)
There is a sad legend about Oedolgae. Once upon a time, in a seaside village in Seogwipo-si, a couple lived with a child. One day the father went fishing out at the sea. But there was a storm and he never returned to shore. His wife waited on the beach. A day went by, a week, a year…decades passed, and still she waited, before turning to stone and dying (the rock is in the form of a grandmother and carrying a baby). When the father heard the news, he floated over the sea and washed up on the beach to meet his wife and turned into a stone, his legs submerged in the sea. It is said that if you look into the sea behind the rock, you can see father's feet. 30 minutes • Admission Ticket Free

Daepo Haean Jusangjeolli Cliff
Columnar joints are quadrangular-shaped pillars that look as if they were delicately carved with a sharp carving knife and are vertical joints that appear in basaltic lava flows. It was formed as a result of the contraction of thick lava flowing from a crater and rapidly cooling. You can enjoy the mystery of nature as the hexagonal stone pillars standing on top of each other, like a stack of stairs, are surrounded like a folding screen. The waves crashing against the pillars are also a sight to behold, and in severe cases, a 'show' soaring more than 20m in height unfolds, taking the viewer's breath away. The Jusangjeolli Cliffs along the Jungmun-Daepo Coast is 30 to 40 metres high and about 1 kilometre wide, boasting the largest scale in Korea and designated as Jeju Island Natural Monument No. 443. 30 minutes • Admission Ticket Not Included

Yongmeori Beach
Yongmeori Coast is located at the foot of Sanbangsan Mountain. It is called Yongmeori Coast because it resembles the head of a dragon going into the sea. Sandstone rocks that have been layered for tens of millions of years have been carved out by the waves to form a strange cliff. The oyster room, which is hollow like a secret room hit by waves, or the traces of waves kept by the rock wall, makes you feel the grandeur of the sea. The spectacular view of the 30-50 metre long cliffs that curve gently have been filmed as a backdrop for many commercials and movies. 1 hour • Admission Ticket Not Included

Sanbangsan Mountain
The word 'sanbang' means a mountain with oysters. The height is 395metres above sea level, and there is a sea cave at about 150metres above sea level in the south, so it is called Sanbangsan. “Sanbang” means a mountain with a cave, and the Buddha is enshrined in a small cave under Sanbangsan Mountain, so this place is called “Sanbanggulsa.” The water drips here regardless of the day, and it is also called the tears of “Sanbangdeok,” the goddess of 30 minutes • Admission Ticket Not Included

The white windmills along the winding coastline and the emerald green sea give us a refreshing autumn scenery. 30 minutes • Admission Ticket Free

Hyeopjae Beach
If you are asked to pick a beach worth visiting in the west of Jeju Island, Hyeopjae Beach is definitely the first or second place to recommend. Located in Hallim-eup, it is part of Jeju Olle Course 14and has a twin beach adjacent to Geumneung Beach. The sea looks as if emerald paint was gradually released into the transparent water. At low tide, the silver sandy beach with lots of shells continues endlessly. The sunset over Biyangdo Island and the sea is another spectacular sight that cannot be missed here. In summer, it is open at night, so you can enjoy the blue night of Jeju Island under the palm trees. Hyeopja 30 minutes • Admission Ticket Free

Hallim Park (Pass By)
Opened in 1971, Hallim Park was created by Song Bong-gyu, the founder, by cultivating a vast field in the Hallim area. It is a theme park consisting of nine themes: subtropical botanical garden, bonsai garden, folk village, palm tree path, cave, bird safari, pond garden, senior exhibition hall, and outdoor walking path.

Handam Coastal Trail
Handam Coastal Trail, also called Gwakgeum Olle Trail, is a promenade along the coast from Aewol Port to Gwakji Gwamul Beach and sits in harmony with the surrounding landscape. The total length is 1.2 km, and you can walk along the coastal road with waves splashing right next to it. It is also one of the 31 hidden unexplored places in Jeju City as announced by Jeju City in 2009 who selected 31 representative places in Jeju City in addition to existing tourist attractions. Rocks of various strange shapes formed as lava hardened and attract attention, and the winding road along the coast made of black rocks adds to the fun of the walk. 30 minutes • Admission Ticket Free
