What is your refund/cancellation policy?
Any of the passengers travelling can cancel their holiday at any time. Written communication (email or post only) is needed to authorise the cancellation from the person that made the booking. As we incur costs to cancel a booking the cancellation charges are as follows:

in which you notify us
More than 56 days ¦ Deposit only
42 - 55 days ¦ 50% of holiday cost
28 - 41 days ¦ 75% of holiday cost

Within 14 days ¦ 100% of holiday cost
Please note: Where you have had to pay the full cost of any flight(s) and/or the full cost of your accommodation at the time of booking, the percentage charges shown in the table above are calculated on the basis of the total cost payable by the person(s) cancelling excluding insurance premiums and amendment charges and the cost of those flights. In addition to the charges shown in the table above, we will also be entitled to retain, by way of cancellation charge, the full cost of any flight(s) in respect of which you paid the full cost at the time of booking, if you cancel at any time after confirmation of your booking.
Amendment fees are not considered part of the holiday cost and are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.
Any charges that you have incurred as part of the holiday arrangements but not booked through us are not included in the above.
If the reason for your cancellation is covered under the terms of your insurance policy, you may be able to reclaim these charges.

Will I need a visa for my holiday?
Visa requirements
British nationals do not need a visa for a visit to South Korea of up to 90 days. You must have an onward or return ticket. It’s illegal to be employed in South Korea while visiting visa-free, whether as a teacher or in any other capacity.
South Korea operates an electronic travel authorisation system called K-ETA. Anyone eligible for visa-free entry to South Korea is usually required to get K-ETA approval before departure. However, British nationals travelling visa-free to South Korea are temporarily exempt from requiring a K-ETA until December 31, 2024. Further information about the K-ETA exemption can be found on the K-ETA notice board.
If you need to apply for a K-ETA, you should ensure that you apply through the Korean government’s official K-ETA website. Other sites offering K-ETA application services are generally scams. It can take up to 72 hours for K-ETA approval to be granted.
If you are travelling for any purpose other than short-term business or tourism, check visa requirements with the South Korean Embassy in the UK.
For those in South Korea on a work visa, all employment changes must be authorised by Korean Immigration.

Re-entry permits for long-term visa holders
Most foreign nationals in South Korea on long-term visas are allowed to re-enter South Korea within one year of departure without the need for a re-entry permit. Check with the Korea Immigration Service.
If you are resident and intend to spend more than a year outside of South Korea, in most cases, you must apply for a multiple re-entry permit via the Hi Korea website before departure. If you require a re-entry permit, engage early with the immigration authorities and apply for a re-entry permit at least 4 working days ahead of any planned travel.

This information is correct as of 20 June 2024. However, it is the responsibility of the traveller to check requirements when booking. Koreana Travel does not have a visa section and uses the Foreign Office Travel Advices pages for information only.

Will I need to take any health precautions before I travel?
As we are not medically trained, we can offer no health or vaccination advice. You are advised to check with your own doctor or you can find advice on vaccinations for travel on the following websites:
Certain vaccinations are mandatory in some countries, so it is advised that you check to ensure you will be allowed entry and that you allow enough time for the course of treatment prior to travelling abroad. PLEASE REMEMBER: some travel requires a pre-travel course of medication such as Malaria, or requires vaccination 3 or 4 weeks prior to travel, so do not leave this until the last moment as you will not be covered to travel!
